It’s a beautiful park to take a nice sunday walk. When the weather is just right the water shines and has a beautiful blue like color to it. Last time i went i saw baby ducks although the mother tried attacking a small dog so keep your pets at a safe distance. Parking is a bit difficult so I’d suggest parking down the street in the parking station, its about a 3 min walk.

Make sure to follow for more honest reviews. I tell it out it is

Love the improvements to the lake. It is an amazing place to stroll, have lunch at the care and ride the Swan paddle boats. I always bring visitors to LA here for a unique and peaceful outing. I wish Silverlake would improve the areas surrounding its lake.

I love nothing more than when my family decides to just get in the car and drive to a random beach to hang out.

My grandma was visiting from Arizona and she wanted to go to the beach. So that’s what we did. I let my uncle drive and pick the beach. He chose Grand Hope Park.

It’s a sprawling park with grassy areas, plenty of benches beneath stone pillars and plant awnings with flowers wrapped around the sides. Playground seems typical though I haven’t explored it. It’s kept very clean. Even on a Sunday at 1:20pm there’s a maintenance man walking the property. Quiet, only the hum of the main street and occasional sirens. Apt complexes and art buildings surround the park. There is shade to be found even on a 95 degree afternoon. Tomorrow is Labor Day (#unionlove) and would be interesting to see how the park is utilized for larger crowds. It certainly has the space to accommodate several hundred people at once! DTLA isn’t very green so swing by this park to get a break from all the ugly garbage filled streets and sidewalks that LA refuses to clean up (you’ll be hard pressed to find garbage cans around this city At All. But in this park I see four within direct eyesight. Some only 20 feet away from one another. So as an aside if you can’t find a garage can for blocks, check out the parks.

This is a great park that I bring my dogs to every day, however in recent months it has gotten very popular and there are many dog owners who do not pick up after their dogs or watch them while they are running around.

The park itself is technically not a dog park which is why there is grass and it is well-maintained. The more people that keep coming And disrespecting the space that we all share the less likely it is that we will be able to have dogs here for very much longer.

If you do bring your dog to this park please keep a close eye on them and pick up after them. It is common courtesy to be respectful of the other people around you and the people that live in the neighborhood.

Calm, had a nice picnic here with some friends. Nice food in the area and it’s pretty quiet, not pure silence but closer to public ambience. A simplistic moonlight on a beautiful day for some romantic scenery. The park itself is well kept, it’s just the surrounding area that was a little dirty.

Early mornings are so much better if your dogs are not dog friendly. They can enjoy the park to themselves. But it gets a bit crowded after 1pm. Dogs are loose and cross to the side of the street and it can get a bit scary if cars are constantly driving by. It would be great if we can fence it up so as dog owners we can feel a bit more safe letting the dogs loose.

Pretty decent park! It has more potential if they came by to clean up the leaves and trim some weeds. The area is a little questionable, but we had no issues. Their is a gate with a code, not sure if the park is for certain residents. But it was open when we came to visit. Bring some sand toys 🙂

A great tiered park in downtown LA with open lawns and space for kids (and adults) to run around. The park as an events lawn across the street from the courthouse and a built-in concert stage up the hill to finally a water fountain complete with a splash pad for the kiddos. It’s a nice scenic place to relax or enjoy a break to let your kids cool off. However, as with most of LA, there is a homeless population that you need to be aware of, especially with kids.

My kids love playing in the fountains and at the playground at the Grand Park!! We have been going here since they were toddlers. It is nice because there is also a Starbucks right next to the fountains. It makes it convenient to buy snack etc. The only challenge is finding parking. I usually can find metered parking and walk there. There is a metro stop that is right near the park.

Amazing park with ample green space an inspiring story behind it. This is truly one of my favorite spots in LA for many reasons. LOCATION. views of the mtns, downtown, sounds of the train…grab a snack in Chinatown and enjoy it here.
Tons of space and trees for shade. Perfect for lying down on a blanket, reading a book, etc whatever you fancy.
Just west of the bridge in the park, there’s signs that tell the story of how it was established. They have a free audio tour by simply calling a phone number. It’s really informative and interesting. I love this place, and am honored to enjoy the space that many fought for a long time to establish.

Really an amazing spot in the middle of Center City Los Angeles. This park lifts you to another place if only for a moment. There are jogging trails and multiple tables in which you and yours can partake in lunch or early dinner. Kids fly there kites when wind is available. There are many guests who visit this clean and secured park daily. Hours are from dawn to dusk. Have fun.

Has a playground, skateboard area, workout machines, and center pond with pavement around where you can run or walk. I seen many types of animals including turtles, squirrels, pigeons, and ducks, I think I seen fish here too. Also I may be wrong but I believe I seen a stork, and a pelican here. It’s beautiful place where you can workout, take your children, or just enjoy some nature time. The only strikingly unapleasing thing I’ve notice is that that some time the pond edged get dirty and i believe you might also catch a bad smell if your a few yards from there, but it is still a great park in my opinion.

Take the path that switches back and forth and avoid the road. Terrific views of downtown, Chinatown, Dodger’s Stadium, the San Gabriel Mountains, Mount Wilson, the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory… Take it slowly. It may not look like much, and it needs some work from the city, but it is a treasure. Don’t forget to pay your respects to the World War One veterans to whom it is dedicated.
